Both machines use a similar mechanism but with an idea to provide a different result. They tend to circulate refrigerants through a continuous loop, and while it moves back and forth between liquid and gas states, the energy changes will affect the heat and levels of air humidity
A liquid refrigerant tends to pass through evaporator or expansion valve and will transition into a gas. It will absorb the heat during the phase shift and will pass through a series of cooling coils that will pull the heat out of it.
